Stop windows from updating
There are many posts on this subject, but I have not been able to solve the problem. Is there a simple way to download and install updates manually (not using Windows Update)? I'm having constant USB 3.0 issues with my MSI Z97 U3 Plus board and I suspect that it could be the windows drivers and I was wondering how to stop windows from updating or installing them when I delete them so that I can only use the latest ones from the MSI website? Hi, It's vital that I don't let Windows update my Nvidia graphics driver as the current versions cause serious problems with the video editing application that I use.I have Update set up to notify me but not automatically install updates. My main problem is I have a BD movie player that keeps reacting badly to windows updates.
I have Window 7 64bit and I have no intention of upgrading. As g Hacks' Martin Brinkmann explains, it's as easy as bringing up the "System" window by right-clicking on the Computer desktop icon and selecting "Properties", navigating to "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System" (Windows 7) or typing into the Start Menu text box.Once opened, click "Advanced system settings" on the left, go to the "Hardware" tab and press the "Device Installation Settings" button. For the past few weeks, I am having trouble with the Windows Media Player installed on my PC recently. It is updating the media library constantly without any prompt.
